How Can I Migrate My MicroBase Pro Data To New Computer? You can copy your entire MicroBase System to your new computer by copying the MicroBase Pro Data Folder. The following steps illustrate how to do this on a Windows PC equipped with MicroBase Pro v2.20 (or greater). Important: When using this procedure:

1. Copy
The MicroBase Pro Data
Folder On Your Old PC
On your Old PC, locate the MicroBase Data Folder. Click Help - About MicroBase ... and scroll down the listing until you see a string that begins with Data: and contains a file path which points to your MicroBase Pro Data Folder. Here is an example of a MicroBase Pro Data Folder in Windows 10:
Next, shut down MicroBase Pro and copy the MicroBase Data Folder (including all subfolders) to your New PC. There are several ways you can do this:
Note: The MicroBase Data Folder location may be different depending on what version of Windows is installed on your Old PC and New PC. |

2. Copy The
MicroBase Data Folder To Your New
PC And Rebuild The New PC's Database
On your New PC, locate the MicroBase Data Folder. Click Help - About MicroBase ... and scroll down the information listing until you see a string that begins with Data: and contains a file path which points to your MicroBase Pro Data Folder. Here is an example of a MicroBase Pro Data Folder in Windows 10:
Next, shutdown MicroBase Pro and rename the New PC's MicroBase Data Folder to something like MicroBase-New (since it is empty, it is no longer needed), then copy the Old PC's MicroBase Data Folder to the same location. Now restart MicroBase Pro and you should have all of your old data in the new installation. |
