FAQ: MicroBase Network Account Login (username & Password)

 

 

In order to connect to the MicroBase Network to download Application Files and send and receive MicroBase Messages, you must first obtain a MicroBase Network Account and Login consisting of a DSS provided Username and Password.

  1. MicroBase Network Account Eligibility
  • MicroBase Network accounts are provided at no cost to users of DSS equipment.
  • MicroBase Network accounts will not be issued to departments or companies.
  • MicroBase Network accounts will be issued to persons who use DSS equipment.
  • MicroBase Network accounts should be requested by the actual person who intends to use the equipment.

  2. How Many Of My AMT's Should Request MicroBase Network Logins?

In most organizations a unique MicroBase Network Login will be needed for each MicroBase Professional installation. This is particularly important when multiple MicroBase Professional installations exist in different locations and users need to message data from one MicroBase Pro installation to another.

If your organization has several persons who work with a single MicroBase Professional installation and interface with the MicroBase Network, you may choose for each person to request their own MicroBase Network Login, although many organizations get along fine using a single username for a given installation.


  3. How Do I Request A MicroBase Network Account?
  • Have your DSS Product model and serial number handy. To locate your DSS Product serial number, click here.
  • Click the following link: REQUEST NETWORK ACCESS
  • Fill out the request form completely and click Submit.
  • Verify that the response page indicates that the request has been submitted. Normal processing time for requests is 2-4 business days.

  4. How Do I Request A Lost MicroBase Network Login?
  • Have your DSS Product model and serial number handy. To locate your DSS Product serial number, click here.
  • Click the following link: I'VE LOST MY PASSWORD
  • Fill out the request form completely and click Submit.
  • Verify that the response page indicates that the request has been submitted. Normal processing time for requests is 2-4 business days.

5. My Aircraft Is AOG. Is There Some Way For My Request To Get Priority Processing?

  • If you have an urgent need for access, TEXT the following message: "PRIORITY: Your Full Name" to 714-458-7087.
  • Requests for Priority Processing are handled as quickly as possible.
  • If priority processing will be delayed, we will respond with a message indicating the approximate time until your request can be processed.

 

6. How Do I Enter My MicroBase Network Login Into MicroBase Pro?

Users wishing to download Bulletins and Application Support Files must enter a valid MicroBase Network Login.

To log in to MicroBase Professional, use the following checklist:

  • Start MicroBase Professional then click Options - Network Users. The Network Users dialog will open.
  • Click New to enter a new username and password. The Enter MicroBase Network User dialog will open. Enter the username and password issued to you by DSS. Click OK to save this information.
  • Select the desired username for use, then click OK to log in to the MicroBase Network using your new username.
  • Check the lower left portion of the MicroBase Pro workspace to verify your username is displayed.

z 7. I Have My DSS Issued MicroBase Network Login. Why Can't Other MicroBase Pro Users Send Me Messages?

You cannot receive MicroBase Network Messages until you have created your personal Message Box on our server.  To create your Message Box, perform the following steps.

  • Open MicroBase Pro and click Help - Check Product Bulletins.
  • If your login information is not found, MicroBase Pro will prompt you to enter your username and password.
  • Enter your DSS supplied Username and Password.
  • Verify that you are authorized to read Product Bulletins.
  • Click Messages - Incoming Messages. If you don't yet have a Message Box, one will be created for you.
