MicroBase Updates

MicroBase Updates are now available for download from this page. The MicroBase Update will patch your existing installation to insure you can take advantage of the latest changes and corrections in MicroBase.

Note: You must be running MicroBase v1.50 or above in order to apply MicroBase Updates. The MicroBase Update utility will not work with earlier versions of MicroBase. Also, MicroBase Updates will not work with any version of MicroBase Express.

 

  
MicroBase Update Installation Instructions

Use this procedure to download and install your MicroBase update:

  • Determine your exact MicroBase version (click HELP, ABOUT, Ctl-Shft-R).  The version will be displayed in the lower right corner of the About dialog.
  • Download the MicroBase update which is intended for your version.
  • Execute the MicroBase Update.
  • Read and agree to the MicroBase Update License.
  • Read the Update results and verify that the patch was installed successfully.
  • After the patch has been applied, view the Read Me file and note changes to MicroBase.

Be sure to download the update which is intended for your version of MicroBase.

Note: The MicroBase self-extracting update files will only run on Windows 95/NT4.0 and later.

Update Rollback

Use this procedure to restore a patched version of MicroBase back to the previous version:

  • Open Windows Explorer and drill down to and open the MicroBase home folder (usually c:\mbase).
  • Open the folder below the MicroBase home folder called PatchWise.bak.
  • Move the contents of the PatchWise.back folder to the MicroBase home folder.
  • Delete the PatchWise.bak folder.

 
Windows For Workgroups v3.11 Serial Communications Update

Download this updated serial driver only if you are running the MicroBase System under Windows for Workgroups v3.11 and are having difficulty establishing communication via RS-232 connection.
